Theres only one face of every man’s favorite football league. No, Im not talking about the NFL and Tom Brady. Im talking about the LFL, the Lingerie Football League and Danielle Moinet. You better believe that this incredibly sexy, cool, hard-hitting LFL All-Star sat down with me in my native home-land of Puerto Rico last week and gave me an exclusive interview eat your heart out Mr Skin. Not only did she give me great answers to every question I asked, she also blessed all of you readers with never before seen pictures!
Lets get started!
You’ve been living in PR for a little while now, whats been your favorite thing about the island so far?
I loved the pinchos and mofongo! After a couple weeks of eating the food down there I really started to have to watch what I was eating. Everything is deep fried and delicious! There are also Pina Colada’s on every street corner, you didn’t hear me complaining about that though!
What made you try out for the Chicago Bliss of the LFL?
I originally tried out for the Bliss as a model, the league hadn’t kicked off yet so we were a promotional squad. Seven months later when we actually started getting into the athletic side of it and girls started dropping like flies. We then started running drills and plays that summer and I loved it! I was learning so much and constantly wanted to get better. Then came the tackling and I fell in love with the game! That was my favorite part of it! I played the first season and then trained hard in the off season before this year. I really had to work at it and after every month, every game, and every season my coaches said I would get better. Fast forward to now and I’m an All Star!
So why did you decide to “retire”?
I actually moved back home to North Carolina this past spring and there isn’t an LFL team there so I can’t play this year.
Will you pull a Brett Favre and make a comeback one of these days?
Haha, football has been my life for the last three years so it’s gonna be very hard for me to sit back and watch. If fact, I was selected to play in this years All-Star Game again. Its Saturday, July 30th in Hamilton, ON at the Copps Coliseum, live on MTV2 at 9pm. You can get tickets at LFLUS.com.
You clearly have the looks and personality to be on TV. Have you ever been approached to do TV?
Well thank you! While doing all of the PR for the Chicago Bliss I was on both TV and radio. I loved doing them both and would love to pursue that avenue! Hosting a television show, sideline reporting for the NBA or NFL, and on camera hosting for an entertainment network are all careers that I have interest in. I don’t know if I could ever just ignore my athletic side all together though. I’m very competitive and love playing sports.
You realize that you’d be bigger than Erin Andrews right?
She’s having a great career and I would be honored if I can maintain the kind of run she’s having.
Are you ever afraid of getting injured?
My mom was very worried especially after the torn ACL, PCL’s and broken arms started pouring in through out the league. But truthfully the answer is no. Getting injured never crosses my mind for some reason. And I’m one of the smaller girls on the team but I just jumped right in not thinking of the likely possibility of me getting hurt.
If I started the LFL Hall of Fame, who would you nominate as the first person in?
That’s easy, Tasha ‘The Tank’ Pryor. Not only is she a force to be reckoned with on the field she is a great person off of it. She has really worked so hard in the gym and in practice to get where she is now and if anyone deserves success its her!
Since you play defensive back, excluding Jay Cutler because that would be the easy answer, which QB do you think you could pick off?
I am a fan of his but you can’t ignore the stats, I’m gonna have to go with Brett Favre. Retired or not I think I can pick him off because he’s too much of a gunslinger.
I know you did some work for NASCAR and toured the circuit so I have to ask you about Richard Childress who is an owner and Kyle Busch who is one of the best drivers out there: They were recently involved in what NASCAR is calling a “physical altercation”. Should it have been settled in a steel cage?
Everything should be settled in a steel cage!!!
Because its so damn sunny in PR, do you wear the eye-black to go out?
Good idea… I don’t know why I didn’t think about that! Haha, who needs sunscreen when you have eye-black!
What do you prefer your man in: boxers or briefs?
Boxer briefs.
Which side of the bed do you like to sleep on?
I always sleep on the right side.
Whats your favorite Anchorman quote?
Mine is: “What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole wheel of cheese? How’d you do that? Heck, I’m not even mad. That’s amazing. How about we get you in your p.j.’s and we hit the hay.“
Thats easy: You’re so wise. You’re like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.
How often do you get hit on?
Not much, no one really approaches me. Now staring, whispering, or saying something to their friends after I’ve walked passed them… now that’s a different story!
You’re originally from North Carolina where my “love-life-meddling-mother” currently resides. Would you pay her a visit in Pittsboro, knock on the door and say, “I’ve been secretly been dating your son Turd Ferguson for the past 3 years.” and walk away without uttering another word? It would really make her happy and get her off my back.
(dying laughing) Of course I’ll do that! What a great idea!!
