Mark my words:
The Chicago Bears will not win a Super Bowl with Jay Cutler.
Yes, Jay Cutler is an improvment for Da Bears. But Chicago could have lived with Kyle Orton. And heres why:
Cutler
QB Rating: 86
TD’s: 25
INT’s: 18
YRDS: 4526 (with Brandon Marshall and a throw first offense)
Orton
QB Rating: 79
TD’s: 18
INT’s: 12
YRDS: 2972 (in a run first offense)
Now remember, Kyle Orton knew the system. Nine times out of ten a new quarterback needs time to learn the system. Go ask Brett Favre and the Jets. Lets also remember that Da Bears defense is and was just as bad as the Bronco’s defense. Jay Cutler is also under .500 as a starter. Lets remember again that he played in a division where he played the Raiders and Chiefs twice and still couldnt post a winning record. Let remember one more time that now he’s in the same division as the Packers and Vikings.
All Cutler is; is Rex Grossman with an ego problem and without the Super Bowl appearance.
So Bears fans, dont expect Jay Cutler to be like Joe Montana. (I know, I should never use those two names in the same sentence.) Dont expect him to be like Kyle Orton and be low keyed when the media rips him a new one for not beating the Packers at home. You’ll get the big cry baby bitching and moaning about how his arm is stronger than Kordell Steward‘s was.
