But seriously, thank God everyone got out alive! Its rare to hear about a plane crashing and no one dying. And they can all give thanks to Chesley B. Sullinburger who was the pilot and real life hero of that US Airways plane.
Flock of Birds Cause Plane Crash
Thursday, January 15th, 2009The report is saying that the US Airways plane that crashed into the Hudson River was airborne for only 3 minutes when it hit a flock of birds. The bird apparently were sucked into the engines and that caused the plane to go down. Its a good thing the pilot missed the George Washington Bridge thats only 3 miles from where the plane landed.
